Am I Blind?
Here's two different 2002 WS6 engine pictures.
The first pic is a WS6 I went and looked at and drove before I found mine.
The second pic is my 2002 WS6.
What I'm asking y'all to look at and give me your opinions on is the air box assembly. From my understanding, the SS/WS6's have a raised airbox assembly(to accommodate the "Ram Air") compared to standard TA's and Z28, is that correct?
But, to me in the pictures, it looks like in the first pic the airbox assembly is higher than mine. Not by much, but still enough for me to wonder about.
Anyone else seeing that as well, or am I just a scenile 31 year old that's going blind?
And if my eyesight is not deceiving me, why would that be?

Real question is why do you still have the stock lid and baffle?

Based on those pics you do not have the raised lower air box. Believe it was a ws6 thing but don't remember if it was standard or not

Ok. Maybe it's just me.
Lol.
Looking for one at local speed shops. I refuse to order shit online.
My car is a WS6. I was under the assumption all that WS6's came with the raised lower air box.
Why does mine not have it? And why would anyone take it off?

Could have been removed to sell it and make some money off it, who knows.
You are 100% sure the car is a real WS6 right?

Carfax doesn't know everything... There are used car dealers that are cushy with collision centers. I've seen several that have a clear carfax but once up on a lift, it's apparent that the body has been straightened.

Take a pic with a tape measure near the opening and someone can measure their regular opening either Camaro or TA to compare.

Both of my GTPs said wreck free according to car fax when I bought them. They both had been hit. Hell the 03 still came up clear after I was rear ended iirc
