    I wonder why...it's only shoved in a little plastic case. Any piece of electronic equipment would fry in those conditions...including the computer that you're on right now. I have mine set up vertically on it's own shelf..never had a prob

    A lot of 360's do seem to be dying though, so let's just say I won't be shocked if it happens to me...especially the way my week is going.

    Just sent mine off to be repaired. Sucks they're doing this, but I'm still really happy with the 360 overall, and wouldnt trade it and it's badass games for some Sony POS. And also, the RLOD is warranteed for 3 years, by which time we'll be getting close to the next generation

    Microsoft would really step up if they went into partnership with best buy or circuit city and were just exchanging them at their stores after a quick test.
    The waiting period and hassle over the phone is BS.

    The calling it in is total bs now, its 10x worse than it was before. First 360 crash took all of 2 min on the phone, second time close to 30min.

    I still love my 360 even though im on my third in 2 years. To me its all about how microsoft handles the situation. Yes they need a fix for the problem but they are at least steping up and fixing all 360 with the ring of death for free. If they had given me any kind of bs or hassle saying its my fault or I did this wrong I would have said fuck it and went out and bought a ps3 but they did't. They just sent me a box to send it back and charged me nothing to fix/replace it. Thats the way a company should handle buisness.
