Airport/apperance question

yeah, I know this is gonna get ugly/funny but what the hell
I'm flying to Europe this week
do you think I will catch a lot of sh!t for looking way different than my passport picture? I want as little trouble as possible but I refuse to shave, cut my hair. I might trim my beard but that's as far as I'm willing to go.

No, your first thought is right. They're gonna think 'American born Al-Quaida convert trying to get to Afghanistan'...

It's my understanding that they want passport photos to look very close to actual appearance. I haven't had that drastic a change while I was travelling, so I can't say from personal experience. But from what I've seen/read over the years, yeah I think you're gonna get some extra grief. Whether they actually block you from passing, I can't say. You're definitely doing the right thing by investigating beforehand...

Nah, you will be fine Pecha. I traveled back and forth from Europe to the US and vice versa looking about the same way and in my passport photo there I have a damn fine USMC haircut with no facial hair. It may also be because I have a maroon Official Passport as well but with my civilian passport it looks the sameway and the photo is like 10 years old. You may get a question or two but nothing to worry about. Where you going in Europe?
