dude, it gets under your fingernails and stuff and it is SO hard to get out. Everytime I change my oil I feel like I have to go get a manicure, and then I'm afraid to go see my nail guy cause he's gonna see how bad I let them get dirty and he won't understand

Besides haven't you heard that prolonged exposure to oils can cause cancer? I don't wanna lose all of my fingertips.

For that reason I wear gloves when I do my oil changes. Who knows what the hell that stuff will do to your body once it's absorbed into your skin..... (Besides, I want to make sure my hands stay clean enough for other activities that may pop up later in the day)

Leather gloves also come in handy for loosening the drain plug....Before I started using them, I'd always end up with a bleeding fist after the plug loosened faster than anticipated and I punch the bottom of the engine.

lol, you're a serious guy eh? I don't particularly care about the cancer causing aspect of it, nor about getting dirty, I was just being a bitch. I thought everyone could use an easy target for low-shots for a little while

A few weeks ago i changed the oil in my trasfer case on my truck and half of it spilled all over the parking lot. I just threw some kitty litter on it and left.
