about a tv
how concerned should i be about burn in on my new plasma i got alot of mixed reviews off the web thought i could get some good info from all of you thanks in advance by the way the tv is a samsung pn50a550

Burn-in? Zero chance
Image Retention? Very little chance. I've had a plasma for over 2 years. Never had any kind of IR ever.
Burn-In is something LCD fanboys will try to tell ya will happen. Burn-in hasnt been a problem with TV's for many years. Image retention was a slight problem with the 1st gen plasma's, but anymore, its a rarity.

I wouldn't worry about it. I don't know the program on your tv but on my panasonic I set the pixel orbiter to force and one minute so the screen is always changing. Doesn't change the way it looks but help prevent IR.
I also broke my tv in as I read about it on avs forum and the thing looks awesome.
I watch sports a ton and think LCDs look like crap for sports.

Do you use it as your computer monitor also? For some reason I've heard of burn-ins have a higher chance of occuring if it is.

Aint gonna happen. I've spent hours upon hours of playing my 360 and PS3 on mine with fixed graphics and such, not to mention every goddamn station out there has the logo in one of the corners.
Don't worry about it.

thanks guys, sorry i dont post much so im not sure where to put it or how to do a specific topic thread but it was almost nice enough in michigan to put the top down and stick it in the back but i opted for my truck instead
