95 z28(6speed) race coming up............

A guy I know just got a 95 Z28 6speed(stock) and wants to race my ws6 and mustang gt.
Both of my cars are auto and they have the following mods

1998 mustang gt
ford performance cam
ford performance intake
4.10 gears
mac cat back
k&n filter

1999 WS6
hooker cat back
k&n filter

How will both of my car's stack up against him, from a dig and from a 40mph roll to about 120mph. How much of an advatange does he have being
6 speed.

Obviously, the ws6 should have no problem, Id imagine he may have a shot at the mustang though..pending he can drive

His LT1 should beat your GT. In lower speeds, his LT1 will stay close to your LS1, but once you get into upper speeds/RPMs, your LS1 will start putting distance on him.

what? u think a 6 speed is faster just because its a 6 speed? your ws6 will rape his lt1. now your gt might have some trouble

Even from a roll huh? Some guys I work with said I would be foolish to underestimate a properly driven 6speed lt1 car, that's why I asked here,

One of my buddies used to have an M6 LT1 SS when I had my A4 LS1 vert. Both stockish, he hung with me till about 50-60, then I would walk away from him. Verts are a little heavier than a coupe though.

Nah, as stated if your not in your a4s peak power band it may take a second but you should pull away somewhat easily.

Well I meant how much of a advantage would he have from a roll, with a 6speed, but from everybody's comments i guess I should be good.

The mustang most likely will be close, but the T/A is going to walk that lt-1, if you really are concerned make that roll race in the T/A 30mph in 1st or 55 in 2nd gear since it's a ws6 i'll asume it has the 3.23 gears. I walked a cammed/bolt-on lt-1 6speed when I was stock, the gt should be a fun race.

I had a friend that had a bone fn stock one make 290 rwhp, complete freak though. Usually 250 range I think and around 300 torque.

Mine put down 282 hp and 323 tq with a cold air intake and just a magnaflow muffler, so it's not completely stock but it's close. 250 seems pretty low for an M6?

They were only rated at 275 hp
