8" of snow in October WTF.
I don't want to sound bitter or anything but this is still Fall and it is October and I am south of New England. So why am I sitting here looking at my car in the garage with 8" of snow on the ground. I heard all about this thing called global warming, when is it going to hit New Jersey. Snow before Halloween is unheard of. Does this mean we will have an early spring ?

This should be in the AAG section.
That said, it's the very end of Oct. and it's inevitable that snow will come. Be glad it didn't come earlier.

And global warming isn't simply about temps always rising... it's about drastic changes in weather patterns due to overall global temps increasing.... hence, snow in Oct seems to jive with the theory.

We've been lucky so far that the lake is warmer than normal so its keeping upper air temps to the point of instead of lake effect snow, were getting lake effect rain.
But that will end soon and hourly rates of 4" coming out of no where will begin!!

Thats what the left wing loonies want you to believe.
Climate change is cyclical just look at historical weather data, most records were set 100 years ago before we started burning everything in site (or under the earth
We had a freak Oct storm in 2008,heavy snow downed powerlines ect, melted in a couple of days.Last edited by transamtom; 10-30-2011 at 05:26 AM.

The adult in me doesn't want a snow because of being a manager and having to go to work. The kid in me doesn't give a ****. Lol.
Back in the day, it almost never snowed in my area of Mississippi. The past few years, it's been coming good snows. Probably not as much as some of you guys get, though.

Yeah...everything is proof of global warming:
- Hotter than normal summer
- Warmer than normal winter
- Super freezing cold winter
- Gas Prices
- Unemployment
- Poverty
- Teen pregnancy
- The apparent overpopulation of this country with idiots
All thanks to global warming.

Wow, I never thought of it that way. I was just pissed that I could not drive my car this weekend but I guess this issue goes far beyond my driving habits.

You know, driving your TA in the snow isn't really THAT bad. As long as you don't step on the gas or the brakes at all! Sliding downhill backwards for about 75 ft ( on the wrong side of the road) while praying the bus that's behind ( in front of ? ) you is watching VERY closely to see where you end up makes for some INTERESTING pucker sounds from your lower anatomy!

If anybody is wondering, Yes, I got the car home safe the next day with only a minor dis-coloring in the F-O-L's. Of course, I got the car home only to find out that the tree in front of my parent's house decided to get rid of excess weight by shedding one of its limbs onto my Yukon, which was parked "protectively" underneath it. Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed.
