60 mph in first gear ???

Im not sure if this is a dumb question or not but her goes. Iv heard many times from many different sources that a c5 corvette can go 60 mph in first befor it red lines. so does that mean a 98-02 f-body with a ls1 and a 6 speed can do the same.

I don't think i have ever paid attention to what speed i'm going at the end of first.

I know the new Zo6's doesn't get out of first before 60. I'm not sure about the c5's.

i think i went something like 60 in first. 2nd goes at least close to 100, 3rd to 150. 2.73 gears though...

The only 2 cars off the top of my head that hit 60 in first gear STOCK are the c6z06 and the Ford GT, I'm not sure what some of the lambos and ferraris do but throw them in there too. This is stock cars i'm talking about. 60 in first is no small feat, and really helps 0-60 times.
