Its not that hard. Takes a little to get right. You dont have to cross your eyes all that much, just enough so you can see 3 separate images and allow yourself to focus in on the middle one.

They're kinda trippy.
They take the picture from two different angles so you're able to see in "stereo" which gives you the 3D/depth perception.
In order to make the pictures come up in 3D from the 2D screen, you've got to have one eye focused on one of the pictures and the other eye focused on the other.
When you see it, they're kinda cool. It is kinda difficult.
A similar way to see something like this is the "floating finger" which I'm not going to spell it out, here's a link to it: LINK
