360 vs. ps3
Okay, so my girlfriend said she'd buy either one for Christmas, so which is better? The 360 elite or the 80gb ps3?
I already have a 5.1 surround sound, dsl hookup, and am going to buy a nice lcd tv, so which is best? Pros and cons of both are welcome

I'd get a PS3 but only after GT5 comes out, I would have bought a 360 a long time ago if they didn't break
I got a wii and a PS2 Xbox

I've only played the ps3 once for a few minutes but I own a 360. The only thing I can say that I like more about the ps3 is it does't have breakdown problems like the 360. I'm on my 3rd console in 2 years. Everyone I know that has a 360 is on at least the 2nd many or on 3rd and 4th. Honestly either one you will be very happy with these next gen games are simply amazing. Graphics are awesome game play kicks ass and online adds hours apon hours of game play.

The elites should have the new chip in it that does not get the RLOD, also it has an HDMI cable so it can process true 1080P HD. Id go with the elite.

The .360s are reliable. My brother, my friend, and I are still working on launch day boxes.

PS3.
That way you can return it, buy a 360, and have money left over for games.

As far as graphics go look for your self, the mouse over is ps3, the image you see with out the mouse over it is Xbox360..
360 is much more detailed and less blurry compared to the ps3

The elites still use the zephyr board...so no the cpu is still made using the 90nm process. The 65nm cpu's are supposed to be in the falcon boards which i've heard are in circulation...but i've never seen one. Either way it doesn't matter because most of the heat comes from the gpu and those are a ways off from being made in 65nm form. The elites and all newish premiums with HDMI(they use the zephyr board also) do have a extra heat pipe from the gpu which helps a lot. The elite is nothing but a black premium with a bigger harddrive and a hdmi cable thrown in.
Oh and I vote for the 360...there's nothing out there that even comes close to Xbox Live. If you do a lot of online gaming you'd be better off kicking down $50 for a year subscription...it's the cheapest route.

Cool, thanks guys. I had trouble doing the search earlier, but I'll try again. I'm still not sure. I'm a big fan of the Gran Turismo series, plus the God of War and Grand Theft Auto series have games coming out. However, I love the 360's game selection

Silver- 2000 Camaro SS
i love the gran turismo games also, but hey 360 has forza which is similar.
i just bought a 360 premium, and it hasnt broken down yet. i got 1 year free warranty on it tho luckily. once that year is over ill pay the $60 to get 2 extra years covered. the 360 game selection is the shit. who doesnt want halo? call of duty kicks ass (idk if its on the other platforms too, but its one of my favorite 360 games), and plenty more. xbox live is simple, not too costly, and all my friends have it so its easy to set up and play with friends.
idk much about the ps3, cept it doesnt have many games out. who cares aboutblueray unless your watching tons of movies on it on a HD tv with surround and what not. i bought it for games. i got a separate room, tv, etc for movies and shit so idc about blueray.
hope i helped a bit.
