360 red ring of death

How do I fix it? I don't want to send it back and wait over month. I took the hard drive out and put it back in but still no go. I just got a new game and want to play ASAP.

Im gonna try the towel trick. Its heating up right now, and I wrapped it around 2 thick bath towels. Gonna let it heat up for at least half an hour then cool for an hour in front of the fan. Lets see how its goes in the night when I get back home!

bought my 360 from best buy, with the best buy warranty plan... I had to 360 go south on me, both times Best buy took the dead 360 and gave me a gift card for the costs that was paid on the 360. I always make out wiht more money that way so I buy the latest 360 and a game. (since 360 drop in price)

exactly...

most had issues, due to the cpu you popping out of socket or the gpu doing the same

Getting very very hot. The fans kicked in and are super loud. Sounds like I have my intercooler plugged in.

From reading, it's currently sitting inside two towels while running.

Its a easy fix, i have done it on about 12 or so at 40 bucks a pop. My own personal xbox has never red lighted.

Why do people keep buying these things, when they're well aware of the problem, have already had the problem happen to them, yet somehow expect that it won't ever happen to them again, then complain when it does happen as if its some big fucking surprise?
