The 300hp Death Trap
That's a lot of power for a single wheel...very interested in seeing this on a track and a 1/4mile.

bad ass.....I'd have to put a hitch on it though to tow the coffin around behind me. Make it easier on everybody. So how big is the supercharger? I'm assuming that's not factored into the 998cc displacement.

Jesus, not sure what this bike is for. 300 supercharged horses is too much even for track use for 99.999992% of riders. It is pretty cool though.

Turbos were the rage in the 80s and those older turbo bikes didn't make dangerous power like this thing.
The buell firebolt and lightning were supposed to be turbo. But they couldn't get it to work reliably and it was costly so they just sent them out with a 1203cc engine that was semi-built for boost and only made 98hp. In a time when the Japanese 600cc bikes were making 100-115hp.

Then there were the boss hoss bikes that came standard for a few years with a 350ci GM crate engine in them. Some were special ordered with 502 big blocks. The difference between kawis creation and the tomahawk or boss hoss bikes is that the kawi is still a bike. Not some giant, hard to ride monstrosity. The boss hoss 502 is 1300lbs, the tomahawk is over 1,400lbs if I recall. And you don't really lean those bikes more so turn the wheel or in the tomahawks case push and pull the individual hubs.

that's an alabama native right thar
John kinda covered the differences.....this new kawi is 300hp and is still a bike. It's light and it'll handle versus those v8 versions that are heavy as hell and won't take the twisties. The new kawi would kick there ass is pretty much all categories. I would love to ride it just once but that's is....just once. That thing has to accelerate like a rocket.

Back in the 90's when I rode stupidly fast I had a Suzuki Katana that I love the hell out of. Handle twisties better then the Ninja's at the time. Ninja's were light in the front and accelerated hard straight line but sucked in twisties.
Sorry to disappoint Orion, not a native 'bama. Born in GA & lived there only long enough for my sister to be born then we moved to TX to be raised proper. But you are correct in that there are a lot of ppl here that would love to have the MG Trike
