2010 SS vs SRT 8 Challenger vs Shelby Cobra

Well i just saw this comparison and its starting to amaze me on how they can justify comparing a mustang that costs 50+k to a 36k Camaro thats N/A. Either way it still got second which isnt suprising but wasnt expecting the Challenger to be soo slow. Were the mustang pricing is they should stop avoiding the comparison and put it up against the LS3 Vette since they are both with in the same price range.

I've seen r/t challengers with the 5.7 run as good as the srt's... I'd save the 10k and spend it elsewhere.

I'm not sure what you mean? In that vid that Snag's posted, it said that Hennessey Camaro made 559 rwhp, which puts it at right around 640-ish to the flywheel (using 15% driveline loss)..........almost identical to the new ZR1 @ 638 bhp.

What amazes me is why people still insist on comparing a mustang to corvettes. The gt500 is the high end mustang, ford doesnt make an actual corvette type sports car. the high 40s or whatever they get for it these days is expensive, but its still a pony car. all those new pony cars are overpriced if you ask me.

i am sooooo tired of these threads...why compare a hennessy(100k) to a 50k stock car...or compare the corvette to the mustang.....it is a good comparison..pony car vs pony car vs pony car...a good comparison because they are the same class and have been designed to compete with each other

i kind of agree with you...but i will take it one step further..give me a car like the cobra R ..but in muscle car form..give me a 0'11 or 0'12 z28 with no ac..no radio..no nav..just some carpet, a dash and 4 seats ... with a big ass engine..and a killer suspension..no stupid ass 22s that are 9in wide..give me a 17-19 that are a foot wide for 30-40k all day ..that would be one of my dream cars.

That would be more comparable to a viper than vette. I see vettes driven daily here, never saw a gt500 and maybe 3 vipers.

nope the GT still doesnt quite fit the same catagory as the GT..i think the GT is something really specially..i dont consider the vette a grand touring car

my car spits oil out the exhaust.

More stuff expelled from behind propels the forward movement with higher power resulting in faster speed.
