2009 colbalt ss
I tint windows for a chevy dealership. And the manager let me take it for a test drive. Got to say I was really impressed with the way it performed. It has a lot of high rpm torque. I think it was a smart move going from the supercharger to turbo. Has anyone had a chance to run one yet? The sales people up there were telling me it has a faster 0 to 60 then the base model vette. I tried to see if we could run them to see but they wouldn't let me. Definitly a fun car though. Aslo come with brembo brakes.

They are definitely cool little cars, very fun to drive.
Zero to 60 faster than a Vette though?? No, they were exaggerating that, although it is still quick. I believe they run 0-60 somewhere in the mid 5 second range.

That's what I told them. But didn't have to much time to argue. I haven't had a chance to look up specs on it, but they were also saying 300 hp. I called bs quick. Does anyone know the hp on it ?

That's a salesman for you. Yea they looked at me funny when I started laughing. And called bullshit. But still a cool car. Would rather have that then the srt4. Sticker on it is 25,000. I didn't think that was to bad of
a price

The new Cobalt SS won the sport compact challenge in one of the car mags a month or 2 ago.. it was either MT or C&D I think... that fucker out handles a mini, rx-8 and is neck and neck with the new evo... thats goddamned impressive from a FWD without IRS

Sound pretty cool. Did they redesign them yet? Still not a fan of the body.
EDIT: haha... just looked it up. for 2010 Daewoo will produce the cobalt. "The new Cobalt will be based off the Daewoo Lacetti - though it will have some subtle differences."Last edited by chuckie669; 11-06-2008 at 05:56 PM.
