20+ hours in a plane...ideas

Going to india tommorow and I'm not looking forward to the airplane ride. My flight leaves at 10pm and it takes about 13 hours from JFK to Dubai. I have a 2hr layover in Dubai and then another 4 hour ride to India? What would u do to kill time.

I plan on sleeping for a good part of the time and Im taking a book to read. But is there anything else you guys recomend to do to kill time?

i usually take melatonin and a light sleeping aid on long distance flights. other than that i just hope it'll feel shorter than it is. in-seat-entertainment helps...

Shit man I am the king of long distance travel. I still have over 2 million non expiring miles on American due their relationship/partner British Airways.
I commuted to Sydney from Dallas every other week for 8 months one time.
Take some munchies like trail mix, M&M's, mints,gum.
MP3 player...if your capable record your favorite local FM station for a few hours.
Check and make sure you have spare batteries or at least a full charge.
Take ear plugs for that screaming ass baby right behind you.
Take some of them lil travel toothbrushes.....kills ash mouth.
Take some towelettes. Eyedrops.Aspirin. Tums.
Books, magazines.....
Get up and stretch/walk around every chance you get.
I always got an isle seat. If I got a window I always found a dipshit that wanted to look out the window

Do not talk to your seat neighbor. Dont say shit. Act like your deaf and dumb.
Wear double thick socks and take off your shoes in flight.

I just did this over Thanksgiving .. a MP3 player with your fave tunes is a must .. Burger68 is right .. if you get a 777 or newer type plane the personal movie screen in seat back is great and many good movies ...

When I went back and forth from Iraq 16 hour flight, I would have my ipod, my laptop, and a book. Sometimes I would watch the movies but I would also take a sleeping med to help me pass out for the bigger part of the flight.

I always stay up for 24 hours ahead of time, then just sleep the entire thing through.

lol I did that anyway I was always on the luggage detail shit sucked but it gave us certain privliges that others didnt get like first class haha.
