1999 camaro ss differential on a yuko??

my frined has a 1999 camaro ss crashed he is sellin out parts. today i found out my denali had no differential oil. checked it put some in only to break the heck out of it once i got off my driveway. it ran for a little then all t did was roar no movement. brake dust came out the wheels. anyways back to my question. will it be possible to put in the camaro differential in the yukon. the denali is a 1999 denali wiht a 5.7 350 engine. any help will help. LOL. thanks

as for the original question, im not sure if the differential will fit in the yukon, im pretty sure the yukon has 4:10 gears though, and the camaro prob has 3:42 or 3:23 gears so your friend might want to consider that as well if he plans on swapping them

The 99-00 Denali has 3:73.No two ways about it.
Should be a fairly common rear-end to find used.Have fun with the gas tank.30 gallons of pure hell right there buddy.

I bought mine because it is the ONLY Escalade/Denali you could ever buy with a transfer case.Tahoe and such youcould get a transfer case up to today but I dig the Denali lights and it is well worth the money.Plus.I tow a 8k lb boat and I have to have 4lo...all the rest are that AWD crap.FFT.

No it won't fit. The F-body came with a 7.625" 10 bolt rear. The Denali has either a 8.875" 12-bolt or a 9.75" 14-bolt rear(I think). None of the internal parts will switch between the truck axle and the F-body axle. I'd find a good junkyard if I were you.

That's what I thought. Hasn't GM phased out the old 12-bolt in recent years?

no actually it has a 10 bolt and the ss is my dad but i just put it in because i drive it probalby more than him jaja. but they both seem really simalr the differentials i mean they are both 10 bolt im not sure bout the gears thought.?? anyhow i tried posting pictures of it but have no idea how. thanks for the help guys

as for the gas. yes it is hell. my gf lives in aurora i live in denver its a 30 minute drive. havinh rims on the truck dont help the truck very much either. plus the sound system which is about 100 to 150. im lucky if i get 12 mpg.

It is 407 miles from here(port orange) to Key west.That is exactly a full tank of gas for me.Kidna cool but the tank almost cost $90 to fill.
