The 1994 Viper...Still look legandary or look old?
Well with spring around the corner and since my Trans Am sold, it is time to start considering a new toy. I have always liked the look of the older Viper (one with sidepipes) but is it looking old? I look at the 96 Vettes and they look real old now. But to me, the Viper is different..maybe because it is so exotic, has 480 ft-lb, stripped interior and those meaty 335s in the back.

Never was a fan of them. They always looked goofy to me. I'm not sure how much of a bitch it would be to get parts for it either.
But to answer to question:
I don't think they look old because they are rare, and when you see one you think "It's a viper" instead of "It's an old viper".

CCM has a point. a viper is a viper. I just think that the old ones are kinda 'bubbly" looking

I really like the 1st Gen myself.
I say go for it after checking the recalls/major problems to look for.

old school Viper, before they changed to the current body style the older look the best, esp in the GTS form. i like the smooth curves, not the hard angles/wedges. i never saw the reason to redesign it to make it look like an s2000 from the front and a vette from the side...

Except for the rims I like the 1st gens. Beware of a headgaskets on the 1st gens. I guy at my work has one and said the stock headgaskets suck on 1st gens are known for blowing out and yes the side windows snap in on his vert.

I like the viper look too, that was my dream car until I met the TA and thought hey, nice curves and look, plus mod it and costs 1/3 of a viper.
but yeah the c5 z06 and the older viper look are really cool too.Last edited by djvaly; 03-05-2007 at 08:12 AM.

BlackCherry- Bad Ass 67 Camaro / 2010
The Yiper is a car that will always stand out, will always look different then the other's.
I have liked it from the start, and will always like it.
Hell, I still think the Lamborgini Countach is one of the coolest look cars ever built.

Check this site out: http://www.garyjavo.com/index.html
This dude has a couple of the older style as well as newer style vipers, some twin turbo. Its pretty cool to look at. I wish I had the kind of cash this guy does.
