Guys This has been bugging me for a while, the pedal is stiff, the accelrator cable and transmission kick down cable has been changed. Any ideas what this could be?

The bushings in the throttle shaft itself might be worn out...causing the blades to bind.

    Pick up another throttle body.

They are getting tougher to find, as they have been out of production for 16 years.Try a local auto parts store or a junkyard I guess.

Murder, I would make sure of the throttle cables routeing, and that there are no kinks or flat spots in it.. Incase it got kinked or smashed either by you durring installation or in manufacture/production.

As the carrier/cover for the cable is made of rubber or plastic coated over a coil of metal.. Did you use a pair of pliers on the end of it to pull it through the fire wall? If so could have smashed or crimped the outer cover by accident..

did you lube the throttle cable before you installed it? I always squirted oil down the cable while holding it vertical

Aside from a kinked cable, not really sure what else would cause it
