1931 Ford Model A Pickup - Death Trap

Dave's Lohr's '31 Model A pickup is retro-cool, and it runs 10s!Dave's Lohr's nickname is Littleman, a tag from a drill sergeant, whose name was actually Hell, back before Dave was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. That service would mean he's fearless. Later, Littleman won the job at So-Cal Speed Shop on the Hard Shine TV show, but turned it down because the move wouldn't have been good for his wife and family. That means he has both fab skills and priorities. Those traits add up to a guy who can build a wicked hot rod-like this '31 Model A pickup.inline_mediumwraptextrightThe truck's frame is painted with Sherwin-Williams blue hammertone. This view shows off the Hall Craft spindle-mount front wheels and the Hurst Airheart 175 front disc brakes. Dave found and restored glass lens Model A taillights and used '32 Ford taillight brackets that he cut and welded to reorient them so they would work. The headers were made by Dave as a quick experiment and only took a few hours. They work well but are a little loud for the street. The rearend is an early Pontiac with 31-spline axles, a 4:88 gear, and Positraction. Littleman's logo was designed by Tuck, a hot rod artist from Helltrack, Minnesota, and the logo was hand painted by Jeremy Lokard of Ohio.31304613/featuredvehicles/hrdp_1001_1931_ford_model_a_pickuphrdp_1001_03+193 1_ford_model_a_pickup+.jpgTrue
