128 in a 45 ??
http://www.nascar.com/news/110524/ky...ing/index.html
Kyle Busch's need for speed evidently extends beyond the race track.
The Sprint Cup Series star was ticketed for careless and reckless driving after deputies clocked him doing 128 mph in a 45 mph zone Tuesday near Troutman, N.C., according to the Statesville Record and Landmark.
Citing local police, the newspaper reported that the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement team of the Iredell County Sheriff's Dept. stopped a yellow Lexus sports car traveling nearly three times the posted speed limit. Busch was cited for careless and reckless driving and speeding, according to the newspaper.
Busch, who drives the No. 18 car for Joe Gibbs Racing, has won twice this season on NASCAR's premier series and 11 times across all three national tours.
According to laws in North Carolina, reckless driving is a misdemeanor that requires a mandatory court appearance. A conviction can bring the loss of up to four points on a driver's license, suspension of a license for up to 12 months, and fines of up to $1,000.
I guess if I got pulled over for that .. I would just get a fine too...

Lol. The guy drives 200 mph in a circle for hours and he still feels the need to drive like a bat out of hell when he's going to town?
I think i'd try to relax and drive as slow as possible whenever I could.
Hey, man...I bag groceries.
Lol. Jk.
But I do bag groceries, unfortunately.

If he did that here in Ontario Canada he would be looking at:
Roadside licence suspension for 7days.($120.00 reinstatement fee after the week is up)
Impoundment of the vehicle for 7days(storage and towing apply usually $400-$600.00)
Your insurance will double or you could be cancelled.
You haven't even been to court yet
Automatic court appearance on Dangerous Driving/Stunting charge.
If convicted up to a 12 month suspension.
A fine of up to $10,000.00.
6 demerit points(9 gets you a interview with the MOT to see wether you should be able to keep your licence,12 points and you get a year minimum)
Your insurance will go up again or you will get cancelled.
These penalties apply to 50kmh or 30mph over the legal speed limit or anything considered stunting its up to the officer's discretion.Last edited by transamtom; 05-25-2011 at 02:04 AM. Reason: spell

That should be an automatic license suspension at minimum.

He wasn't sure how to handle straight line driving as he's used to making left turns.

I think it will be even more interesting to see how Nascar handles it.
Since the Nascar rules state you have to have a valid drivers license to drive in Nascar. If NC pulls his license for any amount of time, then technically he's not allowed to drive in Nascar while his license is suspended.
I'm betting NC will refrain from pulling his license just because of this fact, and probably just fine him heavy. Since I'm sure Joe Gibbs won't want his star driver sidelined for any length of time, so he'll have something to say about it.
I don't like Kyle either, but I'm just predicting how this will go.

Said it on the news this morning,,,,valid drivers license to compete in Nascar. It was a rather long discussion because of it. I'm betting if you dig around, you'll find it.
