12 Dead, 31 Wounded in Shootings at Fort Hood

A shooting at Fort Hood military post in Texas left 12 dead, including the shooter and as many as 31 wounded Thursday, the Army said.

The shooter was killed and two other suspects were in custody.

Yea, that is what my uncle had after coming back from Afghanistan the first time. The military has some of the highest suicide rates.

There is speculation that the shooter was an MP so him carrying a weapon was normal.

My dad was stationed at Ft. Hood... hes saying its too weird.. Like maybe he became corrupted..

The shooter is NOT dead.


Wow lets get some of this info better on track. 1 shooter all the rest are victims so 12 in total and 31 injured. The gunman was Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, 39. Three other soldiers who were detained have been released. Licensed in Virginia, Hasan was a psychiatrist who previously worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center but more recently was practicing at Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood. Hasan was scheduled to be deployed to Iraq. He had no been there yet. Haug said the gunman was "the only one that we know for sure opened fire."


The biggest thing for me, my thought and prayers go out to 12 victims and 31 injured.



Let's do our best to remember that 12 fine Americans woke up this morning ready to protect this country and its freedoms and they won't wake up tomorrow morning. They are gone.
