I'd like to see the "Facts"they used to come up with this list. I know there are more dangerous vehicles out there then a Camaro. I think this was more of a personal taste issue done by a Mustang/Ricer crowd { } But really still think their facts are a little skewed

I've totaled three 4th generation Camaro's and walked out of all three with no more than a few scratches. This website and it's 'statistics' are pathetic.

That particular entry wasn't about the safety of the car, it was about the safety of the drivers. You know, the type to total multiple cars

No, it was about the safety of the car. Why else would they include a crash test video? You can be a pre-teen punk and turn just about any car into a destructive machine.

I never expected it to be accurate nor do i expect you guys to, I just wanted to see what the community had to say about our "V8-powered, rear-wheel drive missile"

I expected more of "death trap" crash in the video... perhaps the editor is a ricer haha

Any car can be made into a death trap with a young stupid driver. A V8 Muscle car is just more interesting then a ricer. Also using the Firestone tires to put the Ford Explorer on that list just confirms to me that the list is more about personal opinion and media sensations then actual facts.

While I have no doubt there are a lot of stupid people who drive F-bodies... The dummy in the crash test video of the Camaro looked to me like nothing significant happened to it.

The interesting thing about the test crash is the camaro did what it's supposed to in those situations. The entire cabin stayed intact. there more likely to walk away from that than any of the others.

Seriously. This entire list was based on personal opinion. I'm sure a Tata Nano is a LOT less safe than an F-body. Since this isn't limited to new production vehicles I'm sure a Citreon 2CV would fold like paper in an accident. 100% personal bias on display here. I feel hella safe in my f-body. After seeing the photos, on this very site, of how they hold up in roll overs I feel even more secure. Try looking up roof crush tests and see how piss poor a lot of the cars on the road do. This guy was probably cut off by some punk in an f-body and his crotchety old manism came through by saying how unsafe these cars are.

On the topic of crash worthiness..... Back in 2001 some careless guy in a fresh off the showroom floor 2002 Subaru Forester decided to blow a stopsign and cause me to barrel into his front end at a decent rate of speed. Now this impact wasn't hard enough to blow the airbags in my car, a 1992 Lincoln Mark VII LSC, but it sure was enough to turn that Forester into a pile of metal heading for the scrap yard. I'm amazed by how much build strength varies from manufacturer to manufacturer yet safety ratings stay fairly consistent. My Lincoln was probaby a bad example of this being as it was still from a time before crumple zones but a fairly refined design in it's own right. The car only needed a new fiberglass piece around the grill and headlights. Didn't even need a new grill!!!! Also needed a bumper cover, gotta love chrome bumpers. That's about it. around 1k in damage to the Lincoln..... a totaled Suby.

Yeah, clearly the author's personal opinion.

I'd change one word in the title from "biggest" to just "big."
