i would imagine you engine MIGHT consume more / some oil due to the lower viscosity..?

other than that, i dont see what the problems would be

personally i'd fear more wear and tear on bearings and other internal parts due to the lower viscosity. i'd like to know how it compares in protection against 5w-30 and 10w-30 at operating temperatures before i ever put it in any of my engines.

I buy the cheapest brand. The numbers mean nothing to me. I drive a third gen. It really doesn't matter.

I used to jus fill the mustangs oil pan with some 3 in 1 oil, but I had to choose something better when it started knocking.

Some times I pull the pan plug and run it on empty a few miles, just to keep it on it's toes.

I used Pennzoil Platinum on my last oil change & I am not sure if it is just a coincidence but my valve seals started leaking after about 1000 miles of using it. I never burned any oil before when I was using the German made Castrol 0W-30. Not sure if I am going to go back to Pennzoil Platinum. I just can't find my Castrol anymore.
