nope its rated at 400 which is weird that the GTO is the SAME, why did they have to pick on the camaro back in the day , and lessen its power because it had the ls1 also

Same power as gto, only a couple hundred pounds lighter.

not all that much fun to tell ya the truth. in order to get the back end to stick you have to have it in competitive driving mode and its gets robbed of so much power that way. it'll throw ya in your seat with the traction control off but you just spin and fish tail forever. at least that was mine and my friends experience with it. he was thinking of trading his 05 gto for it til he drove it.

Drive the Z51 M6 version and you will love it. It has a bit wider tires and the cross drilled rotors plus different transmission gearing and better suspension. I drove a 05 one awhile back and it was really a fun ride. It got decent traction even when I smashed it to the floor at 20ish in first gear. I was really impressed with it. I managed to pull a .98G on a corner with it also. $45k was a little pricey for me though!

The base Corevette is like $43K before tax and other crap, it's under $50k out the door, My buddy Dale has an '05, he took me for a ride... even with everything done to my TA, and sitting in the passanger seat, I've lusted for a Vette since that ride.
