Thumbs up **OFFICIAL**UFC 74 picks thread

Well here are the fights, whats your picks, mine are highlighted:
Randy Coture VS Gabriel Gonzaga; Decision
Roger Huerta VS Alberto Crane; KO second round
Josh Koscheck VS George St-Pierre; decision (kos wrestling ability)
Kurt Pelligrino VS Joe Stevenson; sub in 2nd
Patrick Cote VS Kendall Grove; sub in 3rd
Renato Sobral VS David Heath; brutal KO in 1st
Frank Mir VS Antoni Hardonk (this will be good, hopefully comes full strength and not a piece of chewed bubblegum); sub in 2nd (i hope so)
Clay Guida VS Marcus Aurelio. (great fight the first time); Decision

Great card, and i think the sobral fight is one of the most intriguing because of his last fight (Brutally KO'd) i think its a must win if he still wants to fight in the UFC.

You have some upsets picked for sure ice!

Randy Coture VS Gabriel Gonzaga <----GG by close decision (but I would love to see Captain America win!)

Roger Huerta VS Alberto Crane <---- RH by decision

Josh Koscheck VS George St-Pierre <----GSP by brutal KO in the early second

Kurt Pelligrino VS Joe Stevenson <----JS by sub in the third

Patrick Cote VS Kendall Grove <---- PC but TKO in the first

Renato Sobral VS David Heath <---- RS by sub in the first

Frank Mir VS Antoni Hardonk <---- FM by sub in the third (I hope last chance for Mir)

Clay Guida VS Marcus Aurelio <---- CG by decision

I dont know about upsets, alot of them are pretty close, im going with randy because of his style, if he strikes like he did against sylvia i see him winning. and since you said how, i will fix my post and say how they will win LOL.

+1 I cannot stand lay 'n' pray fighters.

If the rules were changed to allow knees to head on the ground it would alter the dynamic of ground fighting for the better!

I dont really like Kos to be honest. And I like GSP, so its a double whammy if GSP wins, but this will be tough for him I predict.

i hope kos wins, i would love to see him fight Matt when he beats Serra (assuming he does). Kos is not as strong as Matt, but a much better wrestler, and i think unless Matt gets a lot better at striking Kos could KO him, but then again i wouldnt mind seeing GSP destroy Matt again. BTW i was at the beach yesterday and i met Dean Lister again. He is so cool, very laid back guy.

pretty good choices, i cant believe nobody has chosen mir to loose, i was watching a WEC match last night and he was commentating, he said that he wasnt training as hard for this fight as he should because of injuries, but i hope he was lying, i dont want to see him loose again.

I dont want him to lose either, but he really hasnt impressed me lately. I cant believe hed announce that he wasnt training hard for this fight. Its a cowardly way to say "this is why I lost" AND its disrespectful to other fighter.

i agree totally, i hope its just a mind game, on a good note i saw some recent pictures of him training and he is looking pretty good, so i hope it was a joke.

Its hard to distinguish if youre talking about Matt Hughes or Matt Serra.

I am really pulling for GSP, but who knows.

Anyone in Gainesville Florida going to be watching this? I am gonna be all by myself up there watching it at HOOTERS or any other cheaper bar. I dont know anyone, so speak up if you live there.

what do you mean why believe what comes out of his mouth. If he has injuries of course he cant train hard, but he doesnt sit there and lie everytime he talks.
and btw when i say Matt i mean Huges

wat im sayin is he might be mind fukn the dude. it may be tru hes not who knows but him and his trainers and team. hell if i was doin a fight i would try to psych the other guy out. brains win a fight too. not sayin that he aint injured or has prior injuries or just plain out aint trainin that much. those guys train hard even with injuries ive seen the shit happen many times i have many friends that compete in MMA
