ass kicked by a frigin utility trailer today. My father in law keeps his 4x8 trailer out here during the winter. I use it a couple times a year and noticed that the tires were looking like shit on it so I ordered him 2 new tires for it. Lug nuts were completely rusted to shit but I got 9 out of 10 off....that last one got almost all the way off then the stud spun in the hub. Fought that bitch the rest of the day. Cut the stud off and got it out of there. Drove all over town looking for studs and was just going to change them all. Found some at advanced that were damn close.....hit them with calipers and they were only a few thousands larger than the studs that were in there but the stud that was in there had been kinda flattened down from being pressed in so I figured that was the difference. Put new stud in and pulled it down with a washer stack and lug nut. Get it seated then notice the hub has a hairline crack in it from the hole out to the edge. Now I'm shopping for hubs. So what started as 2 new tires is turning into 2 new tires, 2 new hubs, and a few days worth of my time. I'm thinking perhaps that hairline crack may have been there and that's why the stud spun in the first place but not sure on that. Either way I'm not leaving a hub on there that has a crack in it.

Yeah, mowed my grass for the first time today wanted to get it done before snow moves in tomorrow! Wanted to be the first on the street to force the neighbors into the new cutting season..had a few things to do after work and was just ready to head out and I heard it my neighbor was already started oh well maybe next year
Found a car that I want to buy to build into a drag car and I think the wife is on board after a little winning!! may take a year or so to complete stage 1 but I'm kind of pumped....Last edited by kingls1; 04-01-2016 at 07:12 PM.

well here it goes, 1989 Mustang. plans are to plant a 5.3 or 6.0 truck motor in it, full cage and race seats and belts and start there then FI with turbo or procharged at some point. this car is super clean and solid and Garage kept for past 20 years. Centerline drag wheels, no motor has a ford motorsport 5 speed I would guess won't bolt to the chevy so it is staying with my friend to sell and cut my price down. still have to work out price once I see all that he has and what I want and don't want. hoping for a little north of a grand...NO more...

That would be a good fit for the bird Zap, my wife would definitely finish me up if I showed her that....

I was looking at supercharger packages tonight.....the killer for me is the lack of tranny. I'd have to throw $3k at the trans before even considering a $7k supercharger package. Wish I would've done that tranny way back when. Either way I may be gearing up for some work on the car next year. Either that or a polaris razor Probably be a game time decision.

I actually run a 228R but that would be coming out too along with a different stall in a built tranny. I would also need injectors. Just how it goes....the list grows and grows until I remember I put 200 miles on the car last year and say "fuck it".

Yeah and the kits are far from complete. I think I ended up with a bill of about 11-12k just in parts.
It's just money. You make more of it.Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Yes, it's keyed. Injectors, gauges, fuel pump, fmic, methanol injection kit, custom piping work, hardened push rods, upgraded springs, oil, antifreeze....I opted to get the better tensioner also from Chris. Washer tank conversion for the methanol. I'm sure more shit will come to me later. My build was based off what Frost recommended through several PM's back and forth and talking to other builders. I took it a little further than most, but I'll say I haven't had a single issue to date. Pretty happy with it.
