    ****GroundHog Day February Train******

With all the excitement of that stupid groundhog's prediction of a early spring and my anniversary I just realized that we are in day 3 of February and no one made a new Train!

Now we are on the 4th day of February and the highs are staying in the upper 20s to mid 30s all week. Very warm for February in WI.

Low 40's predicted here for the weekend. We have only gotten (1) snow worth mentoning thus far and it was only a few inches. Coming off two consecutive winters with near record snowfalls and below zero temps I'm not complaining.

I always have fun in the snow. I was probably the only person hoping we would get that 12-14 inches this past Tuesday.

Weather here is so damn crazy, it's flipping between muggy warm (60's) to bone chilling cold. Last night had a snake on the porch (I think it's from the heavy rain we got over the last 2 days). Hard to really say what kind but looked like a baby Copperhead. I tried pinning it with a stick and the little shit strike out and bite like a viper would. He rolled and got out from under the stick before I could smash it and slid into the flower bed that was below the porch. Spent 30 mins looking for the damn thing couldn't find it. Normally I have a live and let live policy to wildlife, however it violated the terms of agreement when it enter my zone of separation.

Supposed to snow down this way on Monday and Tuesday which is going to interfere with my day drinking on Fat Tuesday.............I was supposed to be outside but now I'm guessing I'll have to be inside.

That's what fire is for. I dug the fire pit out from the snow and had a Christmas tree burning party.

I can't believe that for the last week or so here in inland north San Diego I've had to scrape ice off the windshield in the AM.

I wouldn't mind if I didn't have to drive 40k miles a year and travel all over.

I'm ready for bed already. Super Bowl not doing much for me. Need Carolina to score 7 and Denver stay the same and more car parts could be mine. Like that's going to happen.

Busy day - started at the office and finished in the garage. Managed to get my brother's Dodge Caliber back on the road again. Transmission is now completely silent with the new bearings. We also swapped out the clutch, slave cylinder/throw out bearing, and water pump while we had things ripped apart. He has 196,000 on it and still going strong. I had some energy left over so I removed the slicks from the Challenger and installed Dawn's new tires. I checked my maintenance log -- she ran the first set for 26,000 miles and the second set for 29,000 miles, so it wasn't quite as bad as I thought.
