What's on the front of the car now? Is that an aftermarket air dam in your profile pic?

splitter is now on. instructions said to remove bumper cover. i say nay nay. instead of taking it off to put screws in, i just taped it on, drilled holes and bolted it on.

removed the two 10mm bolts and six 7mm bolts so i could pull down on the cover

    taped on

drilled holes and put bolts in

    and done

Did the screws go with it, or did it rip away? Hindsight, it probably would have been a good idea to put in larger diameter washers to make sure the plastic doesn't rip away from the screw under wind load.

It may have pulled off one side and flew off beside the car. You would most likely have heard it if you ran it over.

If you get another I'd for sure recommend large washers to give more surface area holding it up, at least on the bottom side but I'd err on the conservative side and make a washer sandwich.

What a bummer! I've seen reviews and comments saying that the front splitter has fallen off at high speeds or come loose over long or short periods of time after install.
