footwell lighting

don't know why they moved a way from them. bought these truck bed lights. they just stick to the surface and have four lights per wire. used one for the footwells. they come in different colors. i chose white.



find the white connector under the dash next to steering column.



the grey wire in that connector is for the interior light.



here is what the light kit looks like. i peeled and stuck the lights onto the surfaces under the dash
and ran the wire behind the center console to reach the passenger side





here is with no light in daytime



here it is with them on in daylight



they even shine just outside the door when you open it. they do come on with the interior light switch as well.

Nicely done. I may look into doing something like this for the 6th gen as well. Nothing says "maybe you should vacuum more frequently" like some good footwell lighting lol, at least in my case.

I did this for my Trans Am. I even put some for the trunk area too.
