    BCM

Anyone know an easy way to tell if bcm is bad? When I shut off my car and I shut the doors the lights remain on until I lock the car with the fob then they shut off.
if I don't do that the lights stay on and drain the battery. I also am unable to reprogram my lights setting when I try to put the car in program mode all I get is five chimes.

Does the lights stay or time out on when you close the door and turn the key on?

BCM issues have other symptoms; your radio and power windows intermittently go on and off.

Hmmm. Sounds a bit odd but, as already posted, BCM issues generally start out with intermittent faults not something like this. I would be happy to check on a diagnostic procedure in the service manual but we are out of town until sometime Sunday.

Does your interior dimmer switch work ok? If I recall, the interior lights are also wired through it and the switch does have a detent for turning them on and off. Other than the door swiches, this is the only other mechanical contact in the interior lighting system. Out of curiosity, do you have the same issue if the car is exited only out the passenger door?

I will have to try that, never thought of that...
