LS1 into 1980 C3 Corvette, Fuel vapour canister requirement?
Hi All
Not sure if anyone has been down this road but I am installing an LS1 into my 80' vette and wondered if I still need to keep the vapour canister setup that was standard in all the late C3's?
Thanks in advance
Pete

I assume you're talking about the purge cannister, vapor cannister, charcoal cannister, it has alot of different names.
You only need to keep it if you have emissions tests or checks over there. If you don't have the inspections it can be eliminated if you wish. However that's how the tank vents, so if you eliminate the cannister you have to give the tank another way to vent to atmosphere, with either a vented gas cap, or some other form of vent hose off the tank.
