If the LS2 sensor is on each side of the block, it appears that you have to drill the holes out to 8.5 mm and then tap them with an M10 x 1.5 tap for the LS1 style knock sensor to work.

There may be other options. I am uncertain the difference between the two sensors... other than size. Could be something you can adjust for in the tune.

I read where you can thread the LS1 knock sensors in to one of the motor mount bosses, since I have the 1" setback adapter plates. What I'd like to know is if the sensor will work as it should since the material around that area is rather beefy.

I did see that as well -- you can adjust their sensitivity within the tuning software.
