thats what i got. 1 7/8 Kooks LTs with ORY and Loudmouth II

ill be stopping by GREAD tuning to finalize a price quote and let them take a look at the car.
looks like SDPC offers a few more parts needed for the conversion.

that GMHighTech link really helped. even gave the part numbers too!

getting the power to the ground should be no problem with slicks its doing reliably time and time again that becomes an issue lol

so you will have over 10k into this for 480hp?

i just think there are plenty of other options for the same goal, and saving a bunch of money.

Yeah umm. Ive got this reaction alot. And a few guys on here has been tossing me options. Many say ls6...a few bolt ons cams and heads and id be over that 430hp that the ls3 dyno'd at...
A few others say ls2... 6.0L larger displacement...
    I say...fml

But how man of those options give you stock driveability, stock fuel economy, and a warranty on the entire engine??

    The answer is none.

I saw no requirement that the OP posted saying he needed a warranty or stock (LS3) fuel economy. Driveabilty can very easily be had with a larger engine, proper camshaft, and the correct tune, so I won't even hit on that.

Larger displacement does not have to equal poor driveability.

What I was getting at, for the same price, you could reach a much higher power level for equal or less money. If your that worried about fuel economy, stop modding past intakes and suspension. Toughen up. Were talking power here, not averages groceries delivered per tank of gas.

warranty would be nice. but most new engines would have a warranty.
i have a ls2 vs ls6 battle going on in another thread.
this is the just of it....

    Swap list: LS6
well the reason i want a full assymbled engine is so that i get the ls6 intake, better fuel injectors, and all new coils, etc. etc.
    SDPC sells the LS6 for $5890 +s/h
    Use ls1 tb/intake---comes with LS6 intake
    ls1 oil pan/pickup
*thats it install and plug in then tune
    _____________________________________
    Swap List ls2
The LS2 i found at rapid motorsports for $5899
use ls1 tb/intake---comes with the composite intake
    knock sensor harness--$60 from SDPC
cam sensor harness--^^^comes with knock sensor
    ls1 oilpan/pickup
*07-up ls2 will require 58x conversion---$255 from Lingenfelter if necessary

so it is only a $315 difference. but as Frost said. they dyno with lesser numbers
found a fast 90/90 set up too for $1430. thatll give me well over 400rwhp with my exhaust, lid and tune..

and id still be getting 15+mpg
gas...ehh its a sports car...but is nice to make it thru the week on full tank. i mean im getting around 20mpg with my stock ls1
ls6 should get around the same and the ls2...id loose a little there upgrading to the 6.0
