Pewter Metallic (1of?)- 2001 Formula M6(1 of 225)
magnacharger does but you have to modify the the throttle cable linkage and a protion of the firewall that meets the hood. It's actually a C5 kit, but I knew a guy who made the kit work on his f-body, unfortunately he sold the car before i could ask to see what he wanted for the set up because of having a kid

by the way it's called a roots style blower when it mounts in place of the intake manifold.

As they arent a sponsor here, maybe direct link isnt fair.
So the easiest and most obvious way, would be to type "Late Model Speed" into your search engine....
I assume you know how to search for things online ?

lmspeed is the only place that sells a complete 'kit' for the f-body. it's based off the GTO magnacharger. you still have to cut into the cowl under the windshield and lower the engine crossmember to get it to fit. one thing it doesn't state is whether, or not, they also lower the trans crossmember. without doing this, it changes the pinion angle of the driveshaft at the transmission and can cause drivetrain vibrations.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

So, performance wise how does it compare to say a D1SC Supercharger. Does anyone have soundclips of either a roots blower on an LS1 or a supercharger?

a roots blower is still a supercharger. Definition of supercharger in shortest terms possible is "Belt Driven Forced Induction" The magnuson and procharger kits are just two different styles of superchargers

No, but seriously. When I clearly stated the name and workshop, when the guy is obviously online anyway, it would only take a few seconds for him to google it.
And either could be at very different levels of tune, with each blower. So you cant say which will be better. Each will suit certain goals that someone might want to achieve.
Thats for each person as the owner of the car to decide what they want though

I meant Procharger not Supercharger, sorry.

A roots blower will give you max psi basically off idle, so instant power and instant tq. The procharger will give you max power at/near redline. Depends on what feel you're looking for or what kind of power management you want. I'd imagine instant power and tq when you mash the pedal could be hard to moderate but God does it sound fun.

I would imagine hard to control if you go the roots route as well.........

Black- 2004 GTO
Look in the gto forum My maggie is on there, I had to have a new throttle cable made for mine, But I put a 90mm FAST throttle body on it that is why I needed a longer cable for my application

Roots type blower is a positve displacement blower. The difference between other types of blower are where the air is compressed and where the blower is more efficient(lower or higher rpms). All blowers give you instant boost. All blowers have maximum boost at the peak RPM's, and this is because they're all belt driven.
Roots type blowers are placed right above the intake side of cyl. head(s). It takes less time for that space to be occupied by the compressed air. This is why it more effiecient in lower RPM's. But once the blower starts spinning over 16,000 RPM's (thats about 6500 RPM's with a 2.8 inch pulley), heat will become to much and you wont be making much horsepower after that.
Where as the procharger has alot more space to fill, via the intercooler, piping, etc. But this is is more efficient at higher RPM's The air entering the intake manifold is cooler because of the path that the air follows is longer, thus giving the air more time to cool. This is also why the procharger mimics the traits of a turbo.
I personnally like the roots type, or twinscrew blowers because I dont drive around above 3500 RPM's often, and I think they look nice especially when polished. Im not correcting anyone, jus fillin the gaps in.
