Roots style blower?
Is there a "roots style" aka "twin screw" aka "whipple blower" available for the LS1's?

What Blk99RamAir said is correct and there is a difference between a roots style blower and a whipple or screw blower.

Yes, that is true. A twin screw is much more efficient in making power than a regular roots blower. Twin screws don't produce as much heat, so they don't need as much boost to make the same type of power. Unless you are interested in instant torque, I believe a centrifugal is actually a better choice. But roots do sound pretty cool. My dad has a Lightning, so I know a bit about the roots and twinscrew KB's, and all that stuff. We ended up going homemade turbo...

Silver- '02 WS6 Procharged 9psi
i did a little research on roots for Fbodies a while ago. since our engines sit way back in the engine compartment (a lot under the dash), just be careful you have enough clearance

i think that it is around 450-500...
if you would get the kit from magna it comes with the intake and upgraded injectors......
i want one..
but with the entire kit polished, they want 7500 for it...

Price
The price is very high compared to the price/hp gains of other systems... But a true fan is a true fan, can't argue with that.

Turn key has a sweet Kenne Bell setup, if only I could afford the 20K price.

i just love the fact it's not the usual side mounted shit. it's like an old fashioned supercharger. but the price is still pretty steep. and you're going to have to do some cutting to get it to fit properly. but i think they send a template and all that you'll need for that evolution.

In my opinion the Eaton Roots-type blower is the only way to go. I have owned one before, and their is no substitute for the instant torque these things generate. Far better than the other options in my opinion. As soon as I can get the money together I'm buying one for my TA.

Its the under the curve power and flat torque curve that I'm interested for my heavy vert. If I got this kit I would want to try and off set some of the weight by getting a tubular K member and upper/lower control arms.
