    Quick question

Whats more reliable in a DD?
    Supercharger or turbo?
And what is required to maintain each one?
Im trying to decide what kind of FI I want to go with.

Either, It's more a question of the quality of the forced induction system. If you get a high quality system you shouldn't have probems with either.

I was thinking more of staying away from some turbo systems like the STS.

i would say turbo. Either would be perfect though. The reason i say turbo is that you can control the boost with a controller. Hell you can cruise around on 6 pounds and if for some reason you want to turn it up you can. Hell with a s/c you have to change the belt.

I've had to DD my Procharged camaro all last week and this week. The wifes minivan is in the shop so I had to give up my beater honda for a couple of weeks.

My camaro drives perfectly normal. I don't normally get stuck in stop in go traffic because I go into work by 6:30am, so no overheating issue. Gas mileage hasn't really affected because I'm not getting into boost staying under 3k rpm. I have 3.73 gears and tach is at 2400 rpm while driving at 70mph. Not the best gas mileage setup but that's due to gears not the procharger. The only downsides I've experienced is the rough ride and avoiding potholes, speedbumps and driveways. But that's because I'm lowered on eibach pro-kit with bilstein HD's along with UMI k-member and tubular upper/lower control arms.

The biggest problem to run into with a FI car is sucking water up into the intake. This can happen during heavy rains and driving through big puddles. You'll cause problems with too much water getting sucked in but other than that.....it's all good with either a turbo or supercharged daily driver. IMO.
