    Oil in intake

I keep having a problem of getting oil in my intake pipe. I have a vortech supercharger running 8# of boost. After a few nice hard accelerations I get the check engine light and have to clean the MAF for the light to clear. I have a catch can in between the valve cover and the intake pipe on the vortech where it hooks back up. I looked at the bypass valve piping and it had a little residual oil in it. Could the bypass valve somehow carry oil to the intake?? Any ideas are welcome and much appreciated.

    Thanks

Yes it is before the MAF. It looks as though when it builds up it then start to run down the intake pipe then affecting the MAF. I checked the hose running to the intake from the catch can and it looks to be free of oil although the catch can which is fed from he line off the valve cover only had a little residual oil in it. Is there any other fix that I oculd try? Thanks for the reply

Hey DAG that sucks, First off how is the oil return line from the charger to the block, if it is a gravity drain system then it has to be routed for the oil to freely flow back. Secondly how is the pcv system ran and do you have pics?

I will work on getting pics but have a busy weekend so it may be a couple days with some out of town family visiting. I eliminated the line from the Catch can to the intake pipe via a breather on the catch can and I still got oil. I think I have a leaky seal on the blower. The catch can is fed from the line exit the valve cover then goes to the intake piping to the vortech.

The oil set up to the blower looks to only have one line that splits at the blower itself with one going to the top and one coming off the side. Yes it looks a though it is gravity fed back to the oil pan.

    Thanks

Does any of you know of an alternative to the funky flex hose that runs from the intake pipe off the air box to the MAF?

I replaced that cloth drier hose with this silicone one. I did have to cut it at the ends, but other then that fits perfectly and blends in really well with the other couplers.
