Hello everyone. I'm looking to gather info on building a bullet proof turbo motor. A sleeper in disguise. Ain't nuthin like being old but still have the sound of RPM's still buzzin in the ears.

G'day and welcome. The LS/LQ engines are a great platform to build with. Budget and overall goal for the car are the two biggest determining factors as to how to proceed. Feel free to ask as many questions as you want, and we'll do our best to answer them.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Welcome.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Thanks all.. Tragedy stuck home so I've off for a bit.. Looking at an iron block 5.3 that I can get. Doing a lil reading and came up with a Precision 76mm and .96 to get down the road... Its a street car... I'm hittin almost 60 years old so I won't be beatin on this think like I would of 30 years ago. I want it to be a solid quiet runner ... Any help if I'm going in the right direction... Thanks

Sorry to hear.
A turbofied 5.3 would be a solid runner imo.

A 5.3 is a great foundation for a build, and will handle boost nicely. Depending on the amount of boost, just make sure you have all the supporting mods, and the proper tune. That's the most important thing.
