Cool man! Can you take a few pics of the custom intake configuration so I can get some ideas about what to do for my own.

Hey guys. Just got home from Fort Wayne. I have to say, Nate at Nasty Nate's Performance did an amazing job. This guy really knows his stuff. The car looked just like I picked it up, but cleaner!

After talking about an hour and going over some fundamentals on maintenance, the methanol kit, and blower set-up, he took me for a spin. Yes, he asked if I wanted him to drive it with me as a passenger first so I got a feel of how the car would react and handle.

We went for a short drive and I was ready to drive home so I could be behind the steering wheel. All I can say is WOW. This car hauls some serious ass. I can't even get it to spin the tires pulling it hard in first gear and when shifting into 2nd it just hooks hard and goes. The rear end does not get loose, at all.

I guess I built her up right and the suspension was tweaked just right after all

The drive home was about 2 hrs and 20 minutes and I got on it (a little, not too much), and I ended up going through about 1/4 tank gas. I didn't think that was bad at all.

The methanol tank is a 4-gallon tank and he told me with the amount I am using, it would probably last me a full season before needing to be filled.

A couple of other things. The warning lights (there are 2) for the methanol injection system are mounted right above where the cigarette lighter is. He made it look immaculate. Pics to come soon.

The air filter is now tucked up into the driver side fender. When looking under the car, the lowest clearance point is now where my collector is, which is about a little over 4" and I've never scrapped that, ever.

From a 1st gear pull, the car screams and you have to be quick on your toes as when the boost engages the RPM climbs very fast and you have to shift into 2nd quick. 2-3 isn't as bad. When it does start building boost though it sits you back into your seat hard.

Packy - I will get you some pictures. It was be a little difficult, but I think I can get some nice photographs of it. The fabricator's welds on the AL piping were insanely beautiful

Only two additional suggestions were made. Right now I have almost zero gap between the drive shaft flange behind the yoke and the transmission. There is basically zero slop so he suggested adjustable control arms and moving the rear end back about 1/2". Of course, the one suspension component I don't get adjustable is the one I need

The second thing was a Tick Master Cylinder. I'm currently running the Spec Stage 3+ clutch and the GM MC. At WOT when shifting 2-3, it almost feels as if the clutch may not be disengagement completely. The shift is a little notchy, but certainly tolerable.

More pics and video to come eventually.

Oh, almost forgot. That bid red race by-pass valve is pretty damn loud. My car sounds like a jet engine coming down the road. No sleeper material that's for sure

Sounds like it all worked out great -- looking forward to the pics and vids. Any chance you'll make it out to Ohio next month with the car?

Thanks for the call today to check on things! I did go out AGAIN later in the day and had myself another 1.5 cruise with my younger brother in the car with me.

I'll probably take some more pics of the engine and blower set-up on Tuesday. I'm beat right now and tomorrow I'll be in Wrigleyville all day with a few friends enjoying some beers and watching the Cubs game.

I'm free July 30th as far as I know. I had looked it up at one point and thought it was 6 hours from me...which isn't all too bad.

I'd like to find someone to make the trip with me. I need to work on that

Sounds good doesn't it! Is yours the open or closed version? I got the open one and it sounds great while bringing the boost up.

Thanks man. I'm having a ton of fun with it the few times I've taken it out. All I can say is this car is a ROCKET! I think I'll be satisfied with this set-up for quite a long time

Sorry guys. Having a small issue I've been trying to diagnose. Car is stumbling at idle when I come to a stop and has actually died out twice on me now. Hoping it's a small issue to overcome. I sent Steve an e-mail late tonight so we'll see what he responds with.

Also, does anyone know what the wide band should be reading while just cruising around and not in boost? During shifts? Mine seems to be fluctuating all the way from 10.8 to 16. Once I give it some gas or am cruising at a constant speed then the A/F is between 14.2 to 15.3.

    Is this normal?

    Appreciate the feedback.

My wideband fluctuates at cruise, but with the throttle open under light cruise it generally bounces from 13.8 to 14.7. If I close the throttle and coast it will jump into the 15's and sometimes a bit higher.
