Question Mods needed to add a roots type blower?

Im thinking of doing a roots type blower setup to my ls1 WS6 sometime in the future, but Im not sure of all the supporting mods?

Would running 6 liter LQ9's from an escalade lower the compression enough that I wouldn't need special pistons etc?

Would a "lopey" supporting cam effect that?

I don't want to end up blowing the engine, but want a lot of power with that glorious "whine" that you get with blowers like eaton or magnuson.

looking for some advice- thanks in advance

p.s. the motor probably has about 130k

LM Speed sells the Magnacharger for $6500.

It doesn't require lowering the engine at all, but it does require minimal cutting to the cowl area above the blower.

he said he wanted lots of power. mini maggies hits 7 or so psi tops. forged is best for boost. if you dont wanna blow your motor then forge it and make sure and take extra time to make the tune perfect. a roots setup for lots of power will have fitment issues in our cars stock bodied.

What do you mean "Mini Maggie"??

The S/C in the link is an Eaton M112, same as used on a 03-04 Cobras.

If you are concerned about the way your girl will react to a $6500 supercharger setup, then she's really not going to be happy if you build the engine to support bigger boost AND throw a blower on it that's the price we often pay to have fun with our cars: no fun at home for a lil while

No cutting the cowl with this design here.

    Check this one out!

I was looking at those, stage 2 kit is a little pricy but they claim 250hp increase. I personally would wait till they out for a while, still very new.

I am debating on buying one myself. They make awesome power and with a built engine you would really be able to boost the hell out of it!

When I get home to Florida tomorrow I am going to do some evaluating and make a phone call to DRE to speak with them about a modified kit since I would only need some of the components. We will see how that goes and if its good then I would sell my full P1Sc kit complete.
