    What rwhp would be safe for a stock ls1 ?

    I have 500rwhp with the D1SC, 8psi, meth, and a FMIC.

    Take a look at my thread in the FI section. You need a lot of other upgrades than just throwing a S/C on.

    The popular answer is that most people feel comfortable with 500 to the wheels on a stock bottom ended LS1.

    It really also depends on the tune. Tuning is everything with that set-up.

    ...and it does - as with most things, I guess - I'm really speaking on what people believe the stock crank shaft can handle for horsepower.

    For what it's worth...usually anything over 500rwhp damages piston #8 first, at least from what I've seen online. I agree with Fast though. If you plan on pushing more power than that, forge the bottom end.
