    How much Boost?

I have a 95 trans am 383 stroker which is runnen at 10.5:1 compression. I just got the sts rear mount turbo for it and was wondering how much boost I could safely go up too max. I have forged pistons and a forged crank so let me know what u think thanks. Someone told me to only run 5 but could I go up to 7?

I think that you could get away with 7-8 psi, but just make sure you get a good tune on it!

a 7 to 8 sounds about right, 10.5:1 is stock compression on an ls1 and they can take 9pounds

I run 7 at the strip with a stock engine. You should be fine. But you do need a good tune and some extremely sticky tires to handle the power.

10.1 is stock on an LS1 and without intercooling 5#'s is the most you want to use at that compression. I'm not sure about the LT1's though.
