Tune goes a long way on these engines.
70,000 mile engine with original plugs and wires and stock paper filter in the air box
and mechanical clutch fan that I'm sure doesnt help any.

They are 5.3L engine with heads that flow VERY close to 98-00 LS1 heads.
Truck cam, intake and tune are just very limiting.

Computer kept shifting up into OD at 5,100 rpm too.
Might pull up to 210-215rwhp at 5,300-5,500rpm if we could have kept it in 3rd.

Went by the good ole pick-n-pull and got a Y-pipe to hack up
    leaving my original intact.

$50 and some knuckle skin got me a spare 3" stock cat-back flange for the downpipe
and the unfindable funky 3 bolt flange GM decided to use on the driverside
    header for some reason.

Start some serious fab work on the crossover and downpipe now.
Got my 44mm Tial wastegate in and all the flex couplers should be here on Monday or Tuesday.

Got the flanges cut off and cleaned up.
Should make tapping into stock exhaust a snap.

Tail 44mm wastegate with 13psi spring ready to go.
$100 ebay cold side pipe package got in too. Should be enough.
Might need 1 or 2 more silicon couplers.

New trans is being installed today.

I also plotted out airflows on the 62-1 compressor map.
    Using 323cid, 82% Ve, and 5,200 rpm at 13psi.

Looks good. Perfect line plotting on the map.
Spools up and hits max boost right in the center of the map
and just barely bumps the "choke" line at max rpm.

New OEM 05-06 Tahoe e-fan got here today
Got the swap harness from Nelson last week. Install looks pretty straight forward.

Should be last supporting mod I can think of to get everything ready
and make needed room for turbo stuff.

Got last of the hot-side parts in.

Just waiting on the high flow CAT from Jegs for the downpipe.
fingers are officially crossed I dont have any emissions test problems

Got the good expensive flex couplers with the inner flex-pipe lining.
The cheap-o ones on ebay do not have this.

Should make some serious progress this weekend.

Got the late model Tahoe e-fans in yesterday. Running the wiring
and cold side from intercooler to TB this morning.

Start on the hot-side this afternoon probably.

e-fan took all of 30secs to install. Slipped right into existing tabs
and bolt holes from the factory. Even had a hole on top of the fan
in same place for factory radiator hose retaining clip.

$250 off ebay, brand spank'n new, not used.

Crossover is halfway done, Downpipe is halfway done.

Plenty of room to route crossover around 4X4 driveshaft if it
    was there too.
