    Laser sight

I have a .40 Glock Model 23 that I have owned for years. From time to time, I have toyed with the idea of a laser sight. I remember there used to be a unit that inserted into the slide, in place of the spring rod, but that was years ago. Others clamped to the frame or trigger guard, but had a lot more bulk to them.

What's out there these days? I no longer read any gun magazines so I really have no clue. Recommendations? Any pros or cons?

Crimson Trace is just about the best on the market. Just remember, a lazer does not make up for proper training and or target practice

Those are pretty slick. The Laser Guard info states that it "does not fit 1st generation models without front finger grooves." My Glock is probably 15 years old so I'll need to check this. Not so sure about the rear mount sight, need to see how it attaches.

I agree 100%... But great for home defense IMO. I dont have to be looking down the gun to hit the target.

Does it have passive engagement -- like a pressure sensitive switch on the grip?

at 15 years it is either a 1st or 2nd gen gun.

Lasermax still sells the guide rod laser, and prices have come WAY down. Very comparative to the CT grips.

That's it! I think they were around $500 years ago, if I recall. Any one actually have one of these?

No the switch is on the laser itself. But your finger is against the switch until you put it on the trigger.
