The wrestler in the video was run out of wrestling after that video aired. I think he broke an eardrum or two.
There is a reason it is now called WWE instead of WWW. Think about it.
Besides, they still have to be very good athletes to pull it off without injuring themselves or their opponents.

Stossel later became an ABCNEWS correspondent, joining the weekly news magazine program 20/20 in 1981. He became its co-anchor in May, 2003.

In 1984, while filming a segment on professional wrestling, Stossel told wrestler David "Dr. D" Schultz that he thought wrestling was fake. Yelling "You think it's fake?", Schultz physically assaulted Stossel, slapping him twice and knocking him to the ground as well as causing hearing loss. Stossel sued, claiming long-term injury as a result of the assault, and won a settlement. Schultz was fired by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), but he maintains that he was ordered to attack Stossel by representatives of the WWF.

Back when I was in high school there was a rasslin' match put on at our high school football field. The rasslers dressed in our club house and we were standing outside the clubhouse waiting for them to make their entrance. A buddy of mine was leaning on a car when one of the rasslers came up and told him to get his sorry ass off his car. My buddy had a smart mouth and smarted off to the rassler. The rassler then picked him up and body slammed him on the ground. My buddy had to go to the hospital and sued the rassler for an undisclosed amount of money. He won the suit. The rassler's name was Macho Man Randy Savage.

YEEEEEEAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! The macho man slammed him for leaning on his car. Good. People shouldn't lean on other people's cars.

Your friend should have learned a lesson out of that. "rasslin" is fake, no question, but the guys doing it are mostly athletes. It's not like they can't do some damage if they want to. Steriods abound as well. That can make for some short fuses.
