    Talking stock vs. 3" magnaflow catback 99 T/A

    here is my car as is, all I have done is a 3" magnaflow cat back system, want a catted 3" y pipe so I can get my Lt's on and an elcetric cut out, but first I have to sell some parts
    builden on a student budget.

    Nice upgrade you cant even hear the car on the first WOT pass but its a world of difference on the 2nd WOT pass.

    You shouldn't be bouncing the car off the rev limiter though

    i ripped the old one out, guy i bought it from had one set at 4800; dumb ass wanted to shoot flames, so installed a replacement one, hence no bounce on the after vid.

    BTW....great choice on exhaust. Magnaflow is all I will ever use again.

    limiters are all in computers now, I have a bud who can hackem and do just about anything you want, kind of like tuning IDK all the spacifics but that is how he explained it to me, sry for spelling.

    So is it safe to say that we can transpose "raise" for "rip"? You raised the rev limiter or raised the speed limiter?

    raised rev limiter to 6200 if i remember right and the speed limiter is set at 185, so yes same thing, but back in the day limiters were not electronic, theywere mechanical hence the term "rip" ohhh didn't know you weere gona get a car history lesson on a kill thred

    the stock rev limit is set @ 6,200 rpm...

    Thanks for the lesson! I'm too young to remember mechanical speed limiters...seriously I think we were just busting your balls based on verbage.

    hell im probobly just as young dude, the only reason i know of them is b/c i have helpped restore some early model cars, and ya busting balls on verbage seems to be main state here
