Longtubes and true duals installed :)
Hey guys, finally got around to putting my longtubes on. LSX powersports in mansfield put them in and did all the fab work, they did a great job. Full specs of the exhaust are in my sig, and in the video's description. If you have any questions ask away. The video was taken using a Sony A55 digital SLR camera.
M6, MS3 Cam, FAST 92/92, LS7 Clutch, Hurst Comp/Plus Shifter, Lid, K&N, OBX LT's, 3in ORX True Duals, KYB AGX shocks, BMR 3-Point SFCs, BMR springs, BMR Adj. PHR, LCA Relos, STB, 315 NT555Rs, DeepDish C5Z06s.

true duals is the best way to do exhaust on these cars hands down. Did you have your pipes ran over or under the axle? Buddy of mine with his TA we had 2.5 in ran with x-pipe and under the axle with zero clearence issues. Only complaint is its going to be harder to get a torque arm in there.

its 3in all the way till you get till the axle, then it's 2.5 over the axle. yeh I def. prefer the true dual sound over the y pipe. Very little rasp this way, even without cats. No drone either. It's leaps and bounds better than the LT ORY setup I had with my z28.

I can hear you coming from here..
Personally the sound to me is great. I have the Kook's Long tubes w/Magna Flow full system but your has more of an edgy sports/muscle car sound.Magnaflow Quad Tip, Lid, SBellow
UMI: FTC, FSB, RSB, LCA's, PBAR, SFC's, T-Arm w/relo, D/S Loop
Kooks LTH, 3" YP, H/F Cats
Custom Grind Cam, Stall, 3:73 rear
Bilsteins w/Strano Springs Conti Super Contacts
TuneByFrost MSD Wires
Cross Drilled/Slotted Rotors w/Ceramic

thanks guys, the smooth tone inside the car is very addicting, I find myself trying to use every excuse I can to drive, just so I can listen to it I'm using 2 moroso spiral flow mufflers, one right before each of the tips

^^^Like open headers at the drag strip. In other words, loud, nasty and great V8 sounds.
I had the opportunity to get an ORY with dual electric cutouts when I put my Hookers on, and regret it still. It was $500 more for that.

on my true duel setup mine stop at the axle and im running glasspacks. My Z car drowns out my buddies cammed TA with loud mouth 1. Best thing with true duals is not having that damn 3k rpm rasp.

Sounds Sick !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the way it snarls the back pressure like a Harley I do want to do a TD set up someday (always did) But for now since i have The Kooks LT`s and ORY (3'') and stainless Magnaflo set up id like to do a dual cut out (for now) I think it will be cheaper then ripping out all that tubing because i know KooKs has a TD set up for 02 SS now but its bank!

yeh if you already have a full ORY setup hooked up to your headers it isn't worth the money to get the true duals, yes it sounds much better imo, but it still isn't worth the money to replace what you have. Cut outs sound like a good choice

Still sounds raspy to me. But then again all the systems sound that way on these cars. Sounds as though you didn't put an X-pipe in....
Some pics of the system with the car up in the air would be great if possible.

Yep that's what I mean. I regret not getting the dual cutout. I wonder how they'd be holding up now, 6 years later. I was already spending $900, and those would've added $500 more.
I did follow my car the other week, and I do really like the sound. I was watching some heads turn as my wife was driving Too Fast. Were they looking at her, or watching the WS6? Not too often I get to hear my car from outside. And yeah she can drive a stick no problem. Hooker headers, ORY, and the Aeroflow muffler FTW!
