    Check this port job out!!!

I was browsing for an upgrade to our CNC machines that would allow us to digitize a part by using a probe to eliminate measuring prototypes and stumbled across this...

This machine makes ours look like dinosaurs

Im a cnc machinist myself and a shop i used to work at had a 4 axis okuma mill with a probe. they work great until the 9 volt battery in the probe goes dead and then the probe just keeps going and rips itself in half lol.

    We have 3 axis machines

The old CNC mill is a Lagoon conversion (single tool),
the Kitamura Mycenter is a 17 tool terret with Fanuc controller,
the Mori-Seiki 12" chuck lathe also has a Fanuc controller- with dual 6 tool terrets, and then we have the usual manual stuff, Bridgeport, drill presses, diamond grinder, surface grinder, media blaster etc.

the shop i work at now has 3 haas mills with a 24 tool turret 1 is a 4 axis and the other two are 3 axis, a brand new haas sl20 lathe with a 10 tool turret, a hyundai 8 tool lathe and a mazak quick turn 15n 8 tool lathe. all are fanuc except the mazak in conversational. the mazak is my primary machine but i am slowly teaching myself the language for the fanuc style lathes.
