2011 Mustang 5.0 vs 99 WS6

Sorry I was a little excited, was not the outcome I expected. I know I made a complete ass out of myself in the video but it was aimed at my roommate who is a huge Mustang fan and was telling me about how bad it was going to be. I have much respect for the new 5.0.

I wasn't aware he was recording and he was using his phone so sorry about the quality

I know the quality is bad but you can still hear my car shift into 3rd and the rpms still climbing.

ORY pipe and free mods, his car is stock. My best was a 12.7 @ 110 but that was when it was pretty cold and I managed to pull a 1.93 60 ft. We had another race up to 130 and it was dead even.

good run. I'm not gonna knock ya about the video quality, obviously is wasn't expected. now i have an idea of what they do, this is the first i've seen of the new 2011 GT's. Cant wait to spank one myself...

Yep. I'm not worried either, those things better be modded a bit to beat me.

I'm as worried about those new Mustangs as I am about the SRT products, not very.

My co-worker just purchased the new GT. It's nice too. I was wondering how fast it really is. I would expect him to beat, but I also expect the outcome to be close. U need to find that guy for a rematch.

my roommate has a mustang magazine and they tested both the auto and stick at a prepped track. Auto ran 8.8 @ 83 while stick ran 8.6 @ 85 in the 1/8. My best in the 1/8 is 8.3 @ 88. Also the LS3 Camaro pulls the 5.0 on top end. Tested back to back the LS3 hit 130 almost 2 seconds faster than the Mustang. So much for the 5.0 being underrated

The Mustang, as far as I know, is still a brick, aerodynamically, compared to a Trans Am, so the TA should really pull it at higher MPH.

I just received my MotorTrend Mag for this month. Guys, the 2011 5.0 ran 0-60 in 4.4 secs. That's damn good if you ask me. What I wanna know will the TA come get it later on?

Stock for Stock the 5.0 is going to win. Some bolt ons and the F-Body has the win. Both modded and its who has more money in mods. F-Body is more aero then the Mustang.
