What is the lowest rpm
What is the lowest rpm that anybody has sprayed on stock internals and the size of shot? I always thought that 3000 was the minimum but I have been proven wrong and was just wondering what everyone sprayed at. I am interested in reliable but pushing the edge numbers. Also the mileage of the motor would be interesting also. Thanks is advance.

1800 rpms with 150+ for two years now. motor has 77K on it right now. that with an all stock motor and stock converter. with the yank converter around 2300-2500 due to tire spin.
Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

Was that a dual stage or just a single nozzle. With that size shot you didn't have any traction problems?
I have 76k on my camaro and me spraying at 3000 I have traction problems. I could only think that starting to spray so early would cause even more problems. I am sure you have stated before but what suspension pieces have you upgraded or replaced to improve traction?

originally a single 150 shot. no spin at the track. currently have two single nozzle in a 75/150 increments for a total of 225.
suspension was hotchkis trailing arms and panhard rod for the 11.44 run. i now have an adjustable bmr torque arm and shock tower brace.

Ok, thanks. I will try spraying at lower rpms and add the suspension pieces. Hopefully get better times. Thanks for the reply

I have used the mickey et streets, kinda wore out. My best sixty foot was 2.001 with those tires. Would the nitto dr be a better tire? The mickey's would slip a little on take off, and it would wheel hop when the nitrous engaged (at 3000) until about 4500. What is the best way to remove the wheel hop? I don't have sub frame connectors. Would those tires and the suspension pieces listed earlier solve the slipping and hopping issue? I know that a better driver would create better times, but I still think my sixty foot is slow. Thanks

1800!? Jesus Christ! Maybe I need some better tires because I can't even spray at 4000 and not spin.

how do you launch the car? at idle? foot brake?
street tires are different for me as well.

I rev it to the point right before the rear tires break loose. About 1450 to 1500 depending on the track conditions and the car. Foot brake. Lights go yellow, off the brake and on the throttle as fast as I can without spinning the tires. Usually at full throttle by 2800-3000. Nitrous at 3000 and never turn it off. (unless the transmission "hangs" in 2nd. Then I turn it off long enough for it to shift. Just to clarify "hangs"; it hits the rev limiter sometimes in 2nd until I shut off the nitrous then it will shift about a half a second later into 3rd.) Sorry for the novel.

mine used to do that. i used my handheld and firmed up the shifts. got rid of the bouncing off the rev limiter.
i sit at idle and mash it to the floor. then flip the switch and off i go.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
tq arms help stop wheel hop..the tq pimp slaps the rear everytime it gets out of line aka wheel hop

torque arm is in the center of the rear. wheel hop is when the axle is bouncing from one side to another. kinda like a seesaw effect. that's where shocks come in. shocks job is to keep the tires on the ground more than the torque arm.

Ok, thanks, I will have to try that launch and see how it works for me.
I am sure you have posted before, but what handheld do you use?
